النشأة والميلاد
ولد شهيدنا القسامي المجاهد سالم صالح سالم فياض بتاريخ 13/4/1989م، في مدينة خان يونس جنوب قطاع غزة، لأسرة فلسطينية ملتزمة تقطن في مدينة دير البلح وسط القطاع.
تربى شهيدنا سالم في أحضان أسرة فلسطينية ملتزمة متأصلة بمدينة دير البلح كأصالة الفلسطيني المتمسك بأرضه.
وبين أهله وذويه امتاز شهيدنا أبو وسيم بعلاقته القوية والمتينة بكل من عرفه، حيث كان مهتم بإخوانه وأخواته بشكل كبير، صاحب ثقافة عالية، أحبه الجميع لعلمه وأخلاقه ودماثة خلقه، شديد الحب لوالدته، دائم الطاعة لوالده، متواضع لأبعد الحدود، تحلى بالجرأة والشجاعة والإقدام والكرم ، علاقته قوية وممتازة مع الجميع، يعمل كل شيء من أجل مساعدة أهله في مصروفهم، محبا للخير، سباقا في مساعدة كل ذي محتاج.
تعليمه
تلقى شهيدنا سالم تعليمه الابتدائي في مدرسة دير البلح الأساسية للبنين، وأكمل تعليمه الإعدادي في مدرسة العكلوك، وأنهى تعليمه الثانوي في مدرسة المنفلوطي بذات المدينة، والتحق بجامعة الأقصى ليكمل تعليمه الجامعي، حيث تخرج منها عام 2010.
في مسجد حذيفة بن اليمان
التزم شهيدنا سالم في مسجد حذيفة بن اليمان بمدينة دير البلح، حيث كان حريص على الالتزام في الصلوات الخمس جماعة في المسجد، حريص على الالتحاق بحلقات العلم وتحفيظ القرآن الكريم، كثير تلاوة القرآن.
انضم شهيدنا إلى صفوف حركة المقاومة الإسلامية حماس عام 2005، والتحق بذات العام بصفوف جماعة الإخوان المسلمين، فكان رحمه الله حريص على التتلمذ على كل ذي علم نافع، حفظ ووعي تاريخ اليهود والصهيونية، وأدرك هدفه منذ صغره.
مع القسام
انضم شهيدنا سالم إلى صفوف مجاهدي كتائب الشهيد عز الدين القسام عام 2006، حيث كان صاحب همة عالية، وجرأة كبيرة، يتقدم إخوانه في كل المخاطر، من أكثر المجاهدين حبا للمشاركة في حفر الأنفاق، اشتهر بلقب أنه لا يملك قلب نظرا لجرأته الكبيرة، شارك في معركة الفرقان، ومعركة حجارة السجيل، ورابط وثبت ونال شرف الشهادة في معركة حجارة السجيل صيف عام 2014.
وأوضح رفاقه في كتائب القسام أنه كان أكثرهم شجاعة وجرأة، يخاطر بنفسه من أجلهم، سباقا للرباط والمشاركة في كل عمل جهادي.
شهادة على آيات القرآن
ختم سالم القرآن الكريم قراءة في يوم الأربعاء الموافق 16/7/2014، وصلى فجر يوم الخميس 19 رمضان الموافق 17/7/2018 في مسجد حذيفة بن اليمان، وقام بالتواصل مع وحدة الرصد، حيث أبلغهم بتحليق الطيران الحربي بشكل غير طبيعي، برفقة الزوارق الحربية وسط إطلاق نار على الشواطئ، وما هي إلى نصف ساعة حيث تم استهدافه ب3 صواريخ من طائرة F16، ليرتقي إلى ربه شهيدا صائما، وأثناء انتشال جثمانه الطاهر تم العثور على هاتفه الشخصي يتلو القرآن.

Our martyr Salem joined the ranks of the mujahedeen of the Martyr Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades in 2006, where he was the owner of a high whim, and great audacity, advancing his brothers in all risks, one of the most loving mujahideen to participate in the digging of tunnels, best known for his title that he does not have a heart because of his great audacity, participated in the battle of Al-Furqan, and the battle of stones Al-Sajil, a link and proven and honored witness in the battle of the Stones of Sajil in the summer of 2014.
His colleagues in the Al-Qassam Brigades explained that he was the bravest and most daring, risking himself for them, racing for the bond and participating in every jihadi act.
Testimony to the verses of the Qur’an
Salem concluded the Holy Qur’an reading on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, and prayed at dawn on Thursday, 17/7/2018, in the Mosque of Hadifa bin Aleman, and communicated with the monitoring unit, where he informed them of the abnormal flight of warplanes, accompanied by gunboats amid gunfire on the beaches, and what is For half an hour, he was targeted by three Missiles from the F16, to raise his Lord as a fasting martyr, and during the recovery of his immaculate body his personal phone was found reciting the Qur’an.

THE FACTS
Material facts have been left out of the original Humanize Palestine narrative that render their account of the incident untruthful.
It is true that Fayyad was killed in an Israeli airstrike. Missing from the narrative is the fact that he was communicating with the al-Qassam Brigades “monitoring unit” when he was targeted by three missiles from an F16. He was reporting in real time, military intelligence to his terror organization, observation and location of Israeli gunboats, aircraft and gunfire on the beach.
CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Saleh Salem Fayyad was an example of this.

The photograph on the right is who Fayyad truthfully was, a terror operative combatant. This is the Fayyad who appears on the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website, the Fayyad who participate in the digging of tunnels … the bravest and most daring, risking himself for them, racing for the bond and participating in every jihadi act.
HAMAS / IZZ AL-DIN AL-QASSAM BRIGADES FUNDRAISING SCHEME
Prior to August 2020, the Hamas and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades websites had a green banner at the top of their home page. This is how the home page of Hamas’ TV station, al-Aqsa TV, appeared on March 16, 2020:

The green banner contained an embedded URL that linked to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website. Clicking on the green banner would open this webpage:
This was a fund raising scheme utilizing cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to underwrite its terrorism (“resistance”). Note that the solicitation is in English. This would indicate that the fund raising scheme not only targeted Arabic speaking countries but English speaking western countries as well, such as the U.S.
In August 2020, the U.S. government seized the website, funds and assets:

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, Saleh Salem Fayyad is one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.
Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
