Shadi Abd al-Kareem Farwana, 35 years old, was killed on July 28, 2014 in Israeli shelling of Khan Younis, the residential neighborhood where he had taken refuge.
“Shadi was the Beneficiaries Coordinator for Khan Younis Area under Global Communities’ partnership with the World Food Programme on the Food Security Program.
Shadi served the humanitarian cause of helping the people of Gaza through our program for the past four years. He was known for his dedication to the humanitarian cause, his excellent relationship with all vulnerable beneficiaries we serve and his great sense of humor. Shadi was 35 years old, and leaves behind him his wife and three children.” -Global Communities

ي حفل جماهيري حاشد بمدينة خانيونس وبمشاركة عدد كبير من كوادر الحركة العملاقة ” فتح ” ومناصريها وقياده كتائب الاقصي لواء الشهيد نضال العامودي ووسط حشد كبير من مقاتليها ولفيف من المواطنين والوجهاء ، وبحضور عضو المجلس الثوري لحركة فتح الأخ المناضل / عبد الحميد المصري “أبو عمر” أقامت عائلة فروانة حفل تأبين شهيدها القائد ” شادى فروانة ”
وقد بدأ الحفل بقراءة آيات عطرة من الذكر الحكيم، ومن ثم السلام الوطني الفلسطيني ومن ثم قراءة الفاتحة على أرواح شهداء شعبنا الفلسطيني .
حيث القيكلمة الحركة الأخ المناضل/ أبو الأمين النجار أمين سر حركة فتح إقليم وسط خانويس ، تحدث فيها عن السيرة الوطنية والنضالية لشعب الفلسطيني البطل وصموده وتضحياته وعن مسيرة حركة فتح في الكفاح المسلح، وأكد من خلالها علي ضرورة العمل الموحد في الميدان ضد العدو الصهيوني .

In a mass concert in Khanyounes city and with the participation of a large number of the cadres of the giant movement “Fatah ” and its supporters and the leadership of the brigades of the Aqsa Brigade martyr Nidal al-Amoudi and amid a large crowd of its fighters and a group of citizens and dignitaries, and in the presence of the Revolutionary council member of Fatah movement brother Abdul Hamid Abu Omar, “The Froana family has held a memorial ceremony for her martyr commander ” Shadi Froana.

Shadi was a member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the military wing of Fatah which is a U.S. Department of State designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. Shadi was a terrorist operative, a combatant when he was killed. He was an al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades leader, a Commander.
In a memorial ceremony attended by the leadership and fighters of the al-Aqsa Martyr’s Brigades, Shadi Farwana WAS NOT recognized for his dedication to the humanitarian cause. Commander Shadi Farwana , the terrorist combatant, was remembered for his sacrifice in the armed struggle against the Zionist enemy.
