On Sunday July 12, 2014, Israeli warplanes bombarded a house belonging to the al-Batsh family in Shujaiyya, east of Gaza City, without a prior warming, killing 18 members of the al-Batsh family. They were targeted by a twin F-16 missile strike.

We would like to honor the lives of:

1. Majed Subhi al-Batsh, 50 years old, was the husband of Amal and the father of Baha’, Jalal, Mahmoud, Khaled, Ibrahim, Manar, and Marwa
2. Amal Hussein al-Batsh, 49 years old, was the mother of Baha’, Halal, Mahmoud, Khaled, Ibrahim, Manar, and Marwa
3. Baha’ Majed al-Batsh, 28 years old
4. Jalal Majed al-Batsh, 26 years old
5. Mahmoud Majed al-Batsh, 22 years old
6. Khaled Majed al-Batsh, 20 years old
7. Ibrahim Majed al-Batsh, 18 years old
8. Manar Majed al-Batsh, 13 years old
9. Marwa Majed al-Batsh, 25 years old
10. Samah Alaa al-Batsh, 20 years old, was Majed’s neice. She was pregnant.

Yousef al-Batsh, a relative of the martyrs recalls some of his memories with his lost cousins. He told Al-Akhbar: “Yahya and Ibrahim were full of life and were eager to go to college but with the war on Gaza, they have received a much higher degree than a high school diploma.”

“He was initially reported killed but later reports stated that he was injured and still alive.”

The original Humanize Palestine website falsely reported him as being killed. But he doesn’t appear in the family memorial which is consistent with the Meir Amit findings above.

Majed Subhi al-Batsh is not included in this family memorial:

While he is an al-Batsh and was killed in his home with the rest of the family, he is not included because he was a Fatah operative. All the individuals above are recognized as belonging to Hamas, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades whose logo appears in the upper left corner. Some are children and some are very young. Indoctrination begins at a VERY early age in terror families. Even though they are children, they are considered part of the Hamas terror organization.

AL-BATSH FAMILY FUNERAL

This is what a Hamas family funeral looks like. The bodies above are all seen draped with Hamas shrouds. They were killed in the house of Brig-Gen Tayseer al-Batsh, the Hamas chief of police in Gaza, he was wounded in the attack.

Seven members of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades were present in the house when it was targeted, five were killed, two survived. Six were combatants. Two members of the al-Batsh family killed in the strike were Hamas operatives.

The original Humanize Palestine website’s narrative is patently false, material facts are left out. Missing is the fact cited above by Haaretz. Also missing is the fact that the al-Batsh house belonged to Tayseer al-Batsh, Hamas’ chief of the Gaza police, a high raking member of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, a high value target. Also missing is the fact that many of the family members killed were al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE SEIZURE

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, the al-Batsh family is one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.

Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
