THE INCIDENT – SUMMARY
On July 8, 2014, while he was riding a three-wheeled vehicle known as a Tuk-Tuk (Tecktak), Fakhr Aref al-Ajouri was specifically targeted by an Israeli aircraft, a missile was fired and he was killed.
The YouTube video reveals that the missile strike specifically targeted the driver of the vehicle, al-Ajouri, and not the vehicle itself. The driver’s mangled body in contrast to the untouched rear part of the vehicle containing the cargo of fragile cardboard boxes demonstrates this fact.
CONCLUSION
Fakhr Aref al-Ajouri WAS NOT KILLED by a missile fired at an armed operative passing by on a motorcycle. HE WAS THE TARGET, the missile was fired at him.
VICTIMIZATION
The B’Tselem databases create the illusion that Palestinian combatants killed by the Israeli security apparatus are victims, victims of an “occupier“. The Fakhr Aref Mohammed al-Ajouri narrative is an example of this misinformation.
Al-Ajouri, B’Tselem alleges, was killed in error by a missile that had targeted an armed operative on a motorcycle that was passing by. The B’Tselem narrative also alleges that al-Ajouri did not participate in hostilities. This narrative is patently false.
The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center cites al-Ajouri as an Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades operative. The picture of al-Ajouri’s body is evidence that HE was specifically targeted by the missile, most likely, a small yield precision weapon. There is little to no damage to the vehicle or its content. This is corroborated by Al Sabh, “… “the Zionist war machine targeted him …”.
B’Tselem’s story that al-Ajouri did not participate in hostilities is false. B’Tselem’s story that al-Ajouri was killed by a missile targeting an armed terror operative passing by on a motorcycle is false. Never the less, the narrative did redefine al-Ajouri as a victim.
Fakhr Aref Mohammed al-Ajouri , the terror operative combatant, re-imagined by B’Tselem as the victim.
