الميلاد والنشأة

ولد شهيدنا في مدينة رفح بتاريخ 26/11/1988 م في بداية الانتفاضة الأولى وأصيب في الإنتفاضة الأولى بعيار مطاطي من قبل قوات الاحتلال وكان عمره عامان عندما كان يسير مع والدته.

عرف عن شهيدنا أنه كان هادئاً جداً ومحبوباً من الجميع وكانت تربطه علاقة مميزة بأهله وبوالديه حيث كان بارّاً بوالديه ومحباً لإخوانه وأخواته، كان شديد على إخوته في الصلاة فهي عماد الدين وكان حنوناً عليهم ويلبي احتياجاتهم.
كان يود أٌرباؤه بشكل كبير فقد تربى بمنزل جداه وكان يزور أقراؤه دائماً ومحبوباً عند جيرانه جميعاً حيث يشهد له جيرانه بالإلتزام والصلاح، التزم شهيدنا منذ صغره بالمسجد في يبنا قبل انتقاله إلى الحي السعدي فقد كان مسجد الهدى منشأه الإسلامي وكان محافظاً على الصلوات فيه وملتزماً بأنشطته وفعالياته.

مراحل دراسته وعمله

درس شهيدنا مرحلته الابتدائية والإعدادية في مدارس وكالة الغوث بمدينة رفح وقد أنهى دراسته الثانوية في مدرسة بئر السبع وحصل على شهادة الثانوية العامة بنجاح وظلت علاقته بزملائه قائمة على الإحترام المتبادل والصدق حيث كان يوده الجميع ويتزاورون إلى أن استشهد محمد.
لم يستطع محمد أن يكمل دراسته الجامعية لأنه كان يعمل في القوة التنفيذية التابعة لوزارة الداخلية فلم يستطع التفرغ لدراسته، تم نقله للعمل في جهاز هندسة المتفجرات وكان يؤدي عمله على أكمل وجه وكان ملتزماً فيه ولم يكن يخبر والديه أنه يعمل في جهاز الهندسة إلا بعد مرور عام على عمله فيه خوفاً من إغضاب أمه.

إلتزامه في المسجد

التزم شهيدنا منذ صغره في المسجد حيث كان مداوماً على الصلوات محافظاً عليها وكان مشاركاً في جُل أنشطة المسجد وأيضاً التزم في الأسر التنشيطية والتي من خلال تعرف على الطريق الذي يسير به نحو الإنضمام إلى حركة المقاومة الإسلامية حماس.
إنضم شهيدنا إلى حركة المقاومة الإسلامية حماس عن طريق المسد حيث عرف بنشاطه والتزامه ومساعدة إخوانه من أبناء العمل العسكري والحركي في المسجد.

حياته الجهادية

بداية انضمام شهيدنا إلى الجناح العسكري لحركة حماس كان في العام 2004م وبدأ شهيدنا مسيرته في كتائب القسام جندياً مجاهداً وبعدها أصبح مسؤولاً لإحدى المجموعات المجاهدة وانتقل بعدها إلى تخصص المدفعية في الكتيبة الغربية عام 2014م وكان ملتحقاً من قبل في كتيبة يبنا، ولحرصه على أداء العديد من المهمات إنضم شهيدنا إلى سرية النخبة في الكتيبة الغربية إلى جانب عمله في وحدة المدفعية، وكان نعم المجاهد الصنديد الذي لا يخشى الموت وكان دائم التقرب إلى الله في عمله الجهادي.
كان شهيدنا ملتزماً بأداء كافة الأعمال الموكلة إليه من قبل إخوانه القادة والأمراء وتميز بالإخلاص والسمع والطاعة لهم، فكان ينافس إخوانه في الاعمال الجهادية والمهمات الصعبة وكانت من أسمى أمنياته الشهادة في بيل الله لرفع راية لواء الإسلام عالياً.
شارك شهيدنا في العديد من العمليات العسكرية والجهادية فقد ارتبط حياته بتخصص المدفعية وقام بالمشاركة في عمليات إطلاق قذائف 107 ورشقات صاروخية عديدة على المغتصبات وقام بالمشاركة في إطلاق قذائف الهاون على المغتصبات المحاذية وأيضاً شارك في العديد من العمليات الخاصة ومنها الإعداد والتجهيز ونصب الصواريخ.

موعد مع الشهادة

كان شهيدنا يحرص على المشاركة في العمليات الخاصة الجهادية لحبه الشديد لمقاتلة أعداء الله ولحبه الشديد للشهادة، فكان دائماً تواق ومشتاق وطالباً لها وأن يثخن في العدو فقد آثر على عدم ترك رباطه في المناطق الشرقية في حرب العصف المأكول كي يتمكن من تنفيذ أكبر عدد من المهام وأن يثخن في العدو قدر استطاعته وخوفاً على إخوانه من القدوم على المكان فكان مصراً أن يبقى أكثر في المكان حتى استشهد فكانت له أمنيته المحققة.
ففي حرب العصف المأكول كان شهيدنا برفقة الشهيد رائد أبو هاني في مهمة شرق رفح وهي إطلاق قائف 107 على موقع إسناد صوفا العسكري التابع لقوات الاحتلال وقاموا بعدة مهام من المربض الذي كلفوا فيه وبعد الإيعاز لهم من مكان قريب بتذخير المربض لعملية أخرى ترجل شهيدنا ليذهب لتذخيره ولكن أعداء الله باغتوه بصاروخ من طائرة إستطلاع ليستشهد على إثره وليرتقي إلى ربه شهيداً مرابطاً مقاوما بتاريخ 11/7/2014م.
وإنه لجهادٌ جهاد، نصرٌ أو استشهاد..

The names that we examined included those of six terrorist operatives with a dual identity, i.e., those serving concurrently in terrorist organizations and in the Palestinian security forces in the Gaza Strip. All six who were identified were operatives in Hamas’s Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Three of them also served in the national security forces of the Palestinian Interior Ministry in the Gaza Strip and three of them served in the Palestinian police. After their deaths, dual death notices were published by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and by the police, Interior Ministry and security forces.

Dual identity of terrorist operatives, especially in Hamas, is widespread and is well known to us from Operation Cast Lead and Operation Pillar of Defense. Dual identity allows Hamas to employ many military operatives in the security forces, give their activity governmental legitimacy, and pay them salaries intended for members of the security forces in the Gaza Strip.

COMMENT

On July 11, 2014, east of Rafah city, Ashour and Hani fired 107 mm mortar rounds at IDF positions. When Ashour returned from retrieving additional ammunition for another round of firing, he was targeted and killed by an IDF missile. When Hani went to check on the condition of his fellow al-Qassami, he too was targeted and killed by an IDF missile.

Mohammed Mounir Ashour was not killed in a bombing of the al-Ghanam home in Rafah. This is a false statement and it further conceals the true identity of Ashour, an Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades terrorist operative.

WEBSITE’S FALSE NARRATIVES CREATE EXAGGERATED UNTRUTHFUL CIVILIAN CASUALTY FIGURES

The original Humanize Palestine website was a memorial for martyred Palestinian terrorists. The website created false narratives for these individuals by utilizing texts and photographs to conceal their terror organization affiliations. This allowed the website to represent these individuals as either civilian casualties of war or as innocent Palestinian protesters, all victims of the ‘Israeli occupation’.

Like Hamas, the original Humanize Palestine website created false narratives to support the deception that many more civilians were killed by the Israeli security apparatus than terror combatants. As stated above, this was accomplished by falsely representing martyred combatants and street terrorists as civilian casualties of war or innocent protesters. However, the original Humanize Palestine website enhanced this deception by utilizing an additional more subtle technique. Their website untruthfully exaggerated the number of incidents involving the deaths of martyred Palestinian terrorists who were falsely represented as civilian casualties of war. This created the perception that many more Palestinian civilians were killed than actually were. The Mohammed Mounir Ashour narrative is an example of this deception.

Mohammed Mounir Ashour was killed together with Ra’ed Hani Abu Hani, in the same incident. However, the reader would never know this by reading the narratives appearing on the original Humanize Palestine website, Ashour and Hani webpages.

The original Humanize Palestine website, falsely created a narrative that Ashour and Hani had died in two separate incidents. But they did not, they were killed in the same incident, two Qassamis, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, falsely represented by the original Humanize Palestine website as civilian casualties of war.

Mohammed Munir Ashour and Raed Abu Hani participated together in the same terror mission. The two Qassamis are not only united in death while carrying out that mission, they continue to be united in life. A Qatari charity is rewarding both families for their service in the Palestinian “resistance”, for sacrificing their lives serving in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas:

QATARI COVERT FUNDING OF GAZA TERROR ORGANIZATIONS

THE HEARING AND SIGHT FOUNDATION FOR DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY REHABILITATION

The Hearing and Sight Foundation for Development and Community Rehabilitation is a Qatari NGO charity. It states that its charitable projects in Gaza support the needy, the poor, widows and orphans, especially the parents of cochlear-planted children, many of whom can not afford rehabilitation fees, transportation and other expenses. This is not completely true and misrepresents what the charity presently does in Gaza.

The charity covertly supports and rewards the families of martyred Palestinian terror operatives, affiliates and combatants such as Mohammed Munir Ashour. By falsely claiming that the charity supports the needy, poor, widows and orphans, the parents of cochlear-planted children, they are concealing their true mission. Receiving aid is not dependent on any of the above. Being needy and poor is not a requirement. The predicate for receiving aid is the family’s affiliation with a Gaza terror organization. The charity supports and rewards the children, widows and orphans of dead Palestinian terror operatives.

Islamic law does not allow adoption, taking someone else’s child as your own. The closest thing to adoption that is is allowed is legal foster care known as “kafala” (كَفَالَة). Kafala is the Islamic legal institution analogous to guardianship and it is used instead of adoption. The Qatari charity is the legal guardian of the 239 children who appeared on their website’s kafala photo gallery, the sons and daughters of martyred Gaza terror operatives. The photo gallery consisted of twenty pages, twelve children per page, eleven on Page 20.

The charity’s website and kafala photo gallery were removed from the internet. Before this happened, most of the website and the twenty pages of photographs were archived. Below, a partial screen grab of one of the archived kafala pages:

CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS

The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Mohammed Mounir Ashour was an example of this.

The photograph of Ashour on the left is how Ashour is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, wearing a Palestinian police uniform, the same photo that appears in Meir Amit’s research paper entitled “Dual Identity”, seen above.

“Dual Identity”, as defined by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, is a term that applies to those serving concurrently in terrorist organizations and in the Palestinian security forces in the Gaza Strip. Dual identity allows Hamas to employ many military operatives in the security forces, give their activity governmental legitimacy, and pay them salaries intended for members of the security forces in the Gaza Strip.

Mohammed Mounir Ashour was given a “Dual Identity” by Hamas to conceal his membership in the al-Qassam Brigades. The two photographs above document Ashour’s “Dual Identity”. The original Humanize Palestine website did the same thing, conceal Ashour’s identity as an al-Qassam Brigades terror operative.

HAMAS / IZZ AL-DIN AL-QASSAM BRIGADES FUNDRAISING SCHEME

Prior to August 2020, the Hamas and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades websites had a green banner at the top of their home page. This is how the home page of Hamas’ TV station, al-Aqsa TV, appeared on March 16, 2020:

The green banner contained an embedded URL that linked to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website. Clicking on the green banner would open this webpage:

This was a fund raising scheme utilizing cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to underwrite its terrorism (“resistance”). Note that the solicitation is in English. This would indicate that the fund raising scheme not only targeted Arabic speaking countries but English speaking western countries as well, such as the U.S.

In August 2020, the U.S. government seized the website, funds and assets:

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, Mohammed Mounir Ashour is one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.

Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
