ولد المجاهد أحمد خضر حسان بنات في الحادي والعشرين من نوفمبر لعام 1994م، في حي الشيخ رضوان وسط عائلة ملتزمة تعود أصولها لمدينة يافا المحتلة، حيث نشأ شهيدنا في أجواء كالصخر، صقلت شخصية قوية شجاعة لا تهاب في الله لومة لائم.
تميز شهيدنا أحمد بأخلاقه، وكان أكثر إخوانه حرصاً على رضى والديه،وشديد الحب لإخوانه وأخواته، ومقربا منهم بصورة كبيرة.
تلقى شهيدنا أحمد تعليمه في مراحله المختلفة متنقلا بين مدارس غزة، ونشط خلال فترة دراسته مع إخوانه في الكتلة الإسلامية الإطار الطلابي لحركة حماس، وعمل في التسويق لإحدى شركات الانترنت في قطاع غزة.

منذ نعومة أظفاره سلك شهيدنا درب المجاهدين، حيث التزم في مسجد التقوى والنور المحمدي، ملتزما في صلاة الجماعة، وشارك فيه شبلاً في حفظ القرآن وشاباً في تحفيظه وتعليمه، وشارك شهيدنا مشاركة فاعلة في الأنشطة الدعوية المتنوعة.
تربى شهيدنا تربية إسلامية صافية، ليكون في الطريق الصحيح، طريق الجهاد والمقاومة، وانضم إلى صفوف كتائب الشهيد عز الدين القسام في عام 2012م، لتبدأ رحلته الجهادية القسامية، حيث التحق بالعديد من الدورات العسكرية بمختلف المستويات، وشارك بعدها في العديد من المهام الجهادية.

بعد رحلة جهادية طويلة صعدت روحه الطَاهرة إِلى رَبها شَاهدةً عَلى ثَباته وصبره واحتِسابه، حيث انتقل شهيدنا إلى جوار ربه، بتاريخ 04/08/2014م إثر قصف صهيوني، ليمضي إلى ربه بعد حياةٍ مباركةٍ حافلةٍ بالعطاء والجهاد والتضحية والرباط في سبيل الله، نحسبه من الشهداء الأبرار الأطهار ولا نزكي على الله أحداً.
ونسأل الله أن يتقبله في الشهداء، وأن يسكنه فسيح جناته.
PARTIAL ENGLISH TRANSLATION
In the path of the mujahideen
From a young age, our martyr followed the path of the mujahideen, where he committed himself in the Mosque of Taqwa and Al-Nour Al-Mohammadi, committed himself to the prayer of the congregation, participated in a young man in the preservation of the Qur’an and a young man in his memorization and education, and our martyr actively participated in various advocacy activities.
Our martyr was raised pure Islamic education, to be in the right way, the path of jihad and resistance, and joined the ranks of the Martyr Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades in 2012, to begin his jihadi journey, where he joined many military courses at various levels, and then participated in many jihadi tasks.

After a long jihadi journey, his spirit ascended to his Lord, perjury, patience and his calculation, where our martyr moved next to his Lord, on 04/08/2014, after a Zionist bombardment, to go to his Lord after a blessed life full of giving, jihad, sacrifice and bond for the sake of God, we count him as the most righteous martyrs and no one will be remembered.
We ask God to accept him in martyrs, and to be inhabited by his paradise.

CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Ahmad Banat was an example of this.

Looking at the composite photograph above, the bottom picture of Banat is how he is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, his terror organization affiliation concealed, 22 years old, killed on Monday, August 4, 2014, in Gaza.
The photograph of Banat’s body draped with an Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades shroud, reveals who he truthfully was, a terror operative combatant. This is the Banat who joined many military courses at various levels, and then participated in many jihadi tasks … targeted by a reconnaissance missile on 4 August 2014.

WEBSITE’S FALSE NARRATIVES CREATE EXAGGERATED UNTRUTHFUL CIVILIAN CASUALTY FIGURES
The original Humanize Palestine website was a memorial for martyred Palestinian terrorists. The website created false narratives for these individuals by utilizing texts and photographs to conceal their terror organization affiliations. This allowed the website to represent these individuals as either civilian casualties of war or as innocent Palestinian protesters, all victims of the ‘Israeli occupation’.
Like Hamas, the original Humanize Palestine website created false narratives to support the deception that many more civilians were killed by the Israeli security apparatus than terror combatants. As stated above, this was accomplished by falsely representing martyred combatants and street terrorists as civilian casualties of war or innocent protesters. However, the original Humanize Palestine website enhanced this deception by utilizing an additional more subtle technique. Their website untruthfully exaggerated the number of incidents involving the deaths of martyred Palestinian terrorists who were falsely represented as civilian casualties of war. This created the perception that many more Palestinian civilians were killed than actually were. The Ahmad Banat narrative is an example of this deception.
Ahmad Banat was killed together with Dia’ed-Deen Mohammad al-Madhoun, in the same incident. However, the reader would never know this by reading the narratives appearing on the original Humanize Palestine website, Banat and al-Madhoun webpages.
Dia’ed-Deen Mohammad al-Madhoun is another Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades terror combatant featured on this and on the original Humanize Palestine website:

THE DECEPTION
Two different narratives falsely created the deception that they were both killed in two unrelated incidents. The truth is found on the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website, al-Madhoun webpage:

Prior to August 2020, the Hamas and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades websites had a green banner at the top of their home page. This is how the home page of Hamas’ TV station, al-Aqsa TV, appeared on March 16, 2020:

The green banner contained an embedded URL that linked to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website. Clicking on the green banner would open this webpage:
This was a fund raising scheme utilizing cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to underwrite its terrorism (“resistance”). Note that the solicitation is in English. This would indicate that the fund raising scheme not only targeted Arabic speaking countries but English speaking western countries as well, such as the U.S.
In August 2020, the U.S. government seized the website, funds and assets:

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized Hamas and al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, Ahmad Banat was one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.
Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
