THE B’TSELEM FALSE NARRATIVE:

Muhammad ‘Imad Ahmad Jawabreh
19 years old, resident of al-‘Arrub Camp, Hebron District, killed on 11 Nov 2014 in al-‘Arrub R.C, Hebron District, by live ammunition. . Additional information: Shot in the chest through the window of his home by soldiers standing on the roof of another home in the camp. The military alleges that the soldiers felt they were in danger when he pointed an improvised gun at them B’Tselem’s findings ruled out the allegation.

Concealment of his affiliation with a Foreign Terrorist Organization
In an article posted on the B’Tselem website, “Soldier shoots and kills Muhammad Jawabreh at home, from afar, although he posed no risk”, the false narrative above is given more ‘color’. B’Tselem states: “… while Muhammad Jawabreh was standing by the window holding a teapot, he was shot without prior warning.” This article can be seen by clicking HERE.
THE FACTUAL NARRATIVE:
Muhammad ‘Imad Ahmad Jawabreh was a terror operative, he was a member of a U.S. designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

“The Front said that since he was a school boy, the martyred comrade belonged to the PFLP, participating in all of the events and protests confronting the occupation, and was arrested for his involvement in Palestinian national liberation organizing several times by the Israeli occupation forces.”

VICTIMIZATION
The B’Tselem databases create the illusion that Palestinian combatants killed by the Israeli security apparatus are victims, victims of an “occupier“. The Muhammad ‘Imad Ahmad Jawabreh narrative is an example of this misinformation.
Jawabreh, B’Tselem alleges, was shot in the chest while standing in front of a window while innocently holding a teapot. The B’Tselem narrative, in addition, alleges that their investigation ruled out the Israeli military’s allegation that Jawabreh had pointed an improvised gun at their troops.
The B’Tselem narrative above is patently false. Never mentioned by B’Tselem, is the fact that Jawabreh was a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. Jawabreh was a terror operative.
The PFLP website clearly stated that Jawabreh had been a member of its organization since he was a young school boy and that he sacrificed himself in direct engagement with “the occupation”. B’Tselem would have us believe that he sacrificed himself in direct confrontation with the Israeli military by using a teapot ! This is obviously false, he confronted the Israeli troops and “sacrificed himself” with a homemade weapon.
The false B’Tselem narrative, in effect, has defined Jawabreh as a victim.
