IZZ AL-DIN AL-QASSAM BRIGADES WEBSITE (MU’MIN ABU DAN)
How to cite
On February 21, 2014, Abu al-Ameen ascended to Ramadhan, where he was a soldier of the elite Al-Qassam Brigades of the Al-Qassam Battalions. His work was in the advanced ambushes that dealt with the advance of advanced Zionist forces east of Deir El-Balah, While our martyr was an advanced link in one of the advanced border houses, the Zionist hate planes raided the house where he was holed up and he and his companions, which I know to be martyred immediately, so that the great grades, God’s mercy and the highest paradise paradise.
IZZ AL-DIN AL-QASSAM BRIGADES WEBSITE (TAREK SAMIR Al-HATO)
The story of his martyrdom
Al-Qassami Tariq Al-Hato was martyred with a group of his comrades in the Qassam elite in one of the advanced ambushes. After the heroic Abu Mutaibiq operation, the Zionist enemy bombed several houses in the eastern region, which led to his martyrdom with a group of his comrades there, may God have mercy on them and accept them in his paradise.
SUMMARY
Mu’min Abu Dan WAS NOT killed when farmland was targeted and bombed. Mu’min Abu Dan was killed when the house he was holed up in was targeted and “bombed”. Abu Dan was in an “advanced ambush”, ready to engage Israeli troops. When the IDF discovered his position, they targeted the house he was in and Abu Dan was killed.
The Abu Dan narrative found on the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades Website, Mu’min Abu Dan Webpage, is corroborated by the al-Qassam Brigades’ Website, Tariq al-Hato Webpage. Al-Hato was killed with Abu Dan, in the same “advanced ambush”, where the IDF “bombed” al-Qassam Brigades positions, houses. Neither Abu Dan or al-Hato were killed when farmland was “bombed”. The IDF DID NOT “bomb” farmland, they “bombed” Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades positions, ambushes that had been set up in various houses. The B’Tselem narrative is patently false.

“KILLED … IN THE BOMBING OF FARMLAND” is one of the most common tropes , referencing agriculture, found in the B’Tselem databases.
B’TSELEM’S USE OF THE TROPE
DEFINITION
A trope is a theme or plot element used many times, it creates recurrent images that influence an audience’s senses helping a writer achieve a desired effect. The meaning of the text is not literal, it is figurative.
B’TSELEM’S USE OF THE TROPE, “KILLED … IN THE BOMBING OF FARMLAND”
When describing the deaths of Palestinian terror operative combatants, the B’Tselem databases commonly utilize words or phrases that evoke images of pastoral settings. This is accomplished by the use of tropes, such as:
●Killed on agricultural land
●Killed in an agricultural area
●Killed on farmland
●Killed in an agricultural field
●Killed in an agricultural shed
●Killed in the bombing of farmland
●Killed in a strike on farmland
●Killed in the bombing and shelling of farmland
●Killed when farmland was bombed
●Killed while guarding farmland
●Killed near farmland which was bombed
“Killed … in the bombing of farmland” is the trope used in the case of Mu’min Abu Dan. It is literally not true. It is a figurative theme or plot element used many times throughout the B’Tselem databases. The metaphorical use of this expression achieves the following effect: It adds the element of victimization to the narrative, it implies that the Palestinian terror operative was not engaged in hostilities when he died, he was just simply an unintended victim when farmland was bombed.
The B’Tselem trope creates an image of a peaceful pastoral setting, no hostilities, no combat and more significantly, no reference to the targeting of the terror operative or why he was specifically targeted. The narrative merely contains a figurative expression to account for the death of the Palestinian combatant. The trope does what it is suppose to do, achieve a desired effect and influence the reader’s senses.

VICTIMIZATION
As previously stated, the B’Tselem databases create the illusion that Palestinian combatants killed by the Israeli security apparatus are victims, victims of an “occupier“. The Mu’min Abu Dan narrative is an example of this misinformation.
Abu Dan, B’Tselem alleges, was killed when farmland was bombed, no explanation of why he was killed. By using this trope that conjures up a peaceful pastoral setting, B’Tselem conceals why Abu Dan died, what he was doing when he died, and it creates the illusion that this terror operative combatant was a victim in this incident.
The B’Tselem narrative above is patently false. Abu Dan WAS NOT killed when farmland was bombed. He was killed in a house where he was participating in an ambush, an advanced combat position established to ambush Israeli troops. The ambush site, the house, was targeted and Abu Dan was killed.
The trope, killed in the bombing of farmland, conceals how Abu Dan died, where he actually was when killed and what he was doing when he was targeted. The false narrative, in effect, has defined Abu Dan as an unintended victim in the bombing of farmland.
Mu’min Abu Dan, the terror operative combatant, re-imagined by B’Tselem as the victim.
While the B’Tselem databases have re-imagined Palestinian terror operative combatants as victims, the U.S. Department of Justice has identified who the truthful victims were, they closed down a Hamas fundraising scheme and will redirect the Hamas assets to the factual victims, the victims of their terrorism. The event documented below occurred in August 2020:
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE SEIZURE
The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized Hamas and al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, and B’Tselem represented them as victims, Mu’min Abu Dan is one example.
Now the real victims have been identified. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
