Israeli Soldier Lightly Wounded in Hebron Stabbing Attack

Two Palestinian assailants shot and killed, in the day’s third incident in the Hebron area; spate of attacks could continue ‘for many more weeks,’ defense establishment source says.

Oct 21, 2015 1:17 AM

One Israeli soldier was lightly wounded in a stabbing attack in Hebron Sunday night, the day’s third incident in the area. The two Palestinian assailants were shot and killed at the scene.

Dozens of Palestinians were clashing with Israeli forces in Hebron following the attack, hurling rocks at IDF soldiers. No casualties reported.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that two Palestinians arrived to Hebron’s House of Contention, where two Israeli soldiers were standing. One of the Palestinians proceeded to stab one of the soldiers, and the other soldier responded by shooting the two Palestinians.

According to the Palestinians, the terrorists were Bashar and Hussam al-Jabari, 15 and 17 years old. Their family denied that they were involved in the attack, and claimed the two were executed. Palestinians have staged marches in several locations in protest of their death.
The stabbing was the third incident in the Hebron area.

The general strike in Hebron in memory of the martyrs “Al-Jabari”

Wed Oct 21, 2015 9:52 AM EDT

Hebron – Palestine Now
The general strike on Wednesday, called by the Islamic and national forces in the occupied city of Hebron, condemned the crimes of occupation against our people.
Al-Quwa said in a statement that the strike will cover all public facilities and institutions in the city except medical facilities “to limit the lives of martyrs and to denounce the crimes of occupation, the most recent of which was the execution of children Bashar and Hussam al-Jabari and an affirmation of the Intifada of Jerusalem.”

Last night, the Israeli occupation forces carried out an execution of the two children, Bashar Nidal al-Jabari, 15, and Hussam Ismail Jamil al-Jabari, 17, in the vicinity of the settlement of Kiryat Arba in the Ras area, east of Hebron.
The areas of the West Bank, Jerusalem, the occupied interior and the eastern border of the Gaza Strip have been tense since the beginning of October, due to the insistence of settler herds to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupying forces on a daily basis, in accordance with the plan of temporal division of the place, which it rejects. Wave of Terror 2015-2019

Click HERE to view website

The recent series of attacks against Israelis is the direct result of incitement by radical Islamist and terrorist elements, calling on Palestinian youth to murder Jews.

Since September 2015, Israel has experienced a wave of terror perpetrated by individuals, many of them very young, inspired by vicious incitement in Palestinian social and traditional media and urged on by the Palestinian leadership. The Palestinian Authority goes so far as to pay convicted terrorists a monthly allowance – the more serious the offense, the more money they receive. The families of terrorists killed by Israeli security forces during a terror attack receive a monthly
“pension” as well.
According to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorisn Information Center (ITIC), beginning in September 2015, there has been a wave of terrorist attacks which began on the Temple Mount and in east Jerusalem. The attacks later spread to Judea and Samaria and even crossed the Green Line into Israel under the battle cry of “Al-Aqsa mosque is in danger.”
The current wave of terrorist attacks is part of the PA’s strategy of “popular resistance” (i.e., popular terrorism) adopted by the PA and Fatah at the Sixth Fatah conference in August 2009. Statements by Fatah, Hamas and PIJ spokespersons have described the attacks as “heroic actions” and “the natural response to Israel’s crimes”.
The terrorist attacks, which had been concentrated in greater Jerusalem, spread to other locations in Israel, including Kiryat Gat in the south, Tel Aviv, Afula in the north, and Gan Shmuel (near Hadera) and Raanana (in the center of the country). The attacks have been carried out by young lone terrorists, most of them from east Jerusalem, and some from Judea and Samaria. There were also two Israeli Arabs (from Nazareth and Um el-Fahm), Palestinians staying in Israel illegally, two women and two children. They were motivated for the most part by the lie spread by the Palestinian media that Israel allegedly threatened Al-Aqsa mosque, as well as by the frustration, desperation and anger of the younger generation. Generally speaking, the terrorists have not been operatives of any established terrorist organization, and the current wave of terrorism has not been directed by any organization, but rather is directly inspired by the intensive incitement accompanying it.

INCIDENT SUMMARY

Two Palestinian teenagers were shot and killed when they attacked a soldier with a knife. Two soldiers had been on guard duty protecting a Jewish-owned apartment complex, the “House of Contention“, in the West Bank city of Hebron.

Beit HaShalom, (Hebrew: בית השלום, lit. House of Peace) or the Rajabi House, also known as Beit HaMeriva (“House of Contention”), is a four-story apartment building located in the H-2 Area of Hebron.
Originally built by two Palestinian businessmen, the building was subsequently purchased and inhabited by local Jewish settlers in 2007. The Hebron Protocol of 1997 divided the city into two sectors: H1, controlled by the Palestinian Authority, and H2, roughly 20% of the city, administered by Israel.

Bashar Nidal al-Jabari, 15, and Hussam Jamil al-Jabari, 17, approached the soldiers, one had a knife and stabbed a soldier in the head inflicting minor injuries. The other soldier who was with the stabbing victim at the time, shot and killed the two teenagers.

As stated by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since September 2015, there had been a wave of terrorist incidents perpetrated by individuals, some very young, individuals that had not been operatives of any established terrorist organizations. This would seem to describe the incident involving Bashar and Hussam al-Jabari.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs went on to state that these individuals “were motivated for the most part by the lie spread by the Palestinian media that Israel allegedly threatened the al-Aqsa mosque ….”. This incitement is evident in the article appearing on the Palestine Now website, “The general strike in Hebron in memory of the martyrs “Al-Jabari”.

The Palestine Now article stated that “… tense since the beginning of October, due to the insistence of settler herds to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupying forces on a daily basis …

This entire incident has one very simple explanation. Two young Palestinian teenagers, unaffiliated terrorists, incited by false allegations that Israel intends to threaten the al-Aqsa mosque, took it upon themselves to attack the “occupying forces” and defend the al-Aqsa mosque. This attack was part of the PA’s strategy of “popular resistance” (i.e., popular terrorism) adopted by the PA and Fatah at the Sixth Fatah conference in August 2009.

Husam Ismail Jamil al-Jabari, 17 years old, was shot and killed … after an alleged stabbing attack ….

THE FACTS

Husam Ismail Jamil al-Jabari and Bashar Nidal al-Jabari were not shot and killed after an alleged stabbing attack involving an IDF soldier who was stabbed in the head. An incident that is “alleged” is an incident without proof that it actually took place. This stabbing incident has been documented by multiple media outlets, corroborated beyond any reasonable doubt and there is substantial proof that it occurred. Calling the incident an alleged attack is a patently false statement.
