On 21 July 2014, Mahmoud Hatem Mahmoud Shawamreh (26), of Al-Ram, was shot dead by the IDF, after he and a group of young men fled on sighting an IDF jeep, as they prepared to throw Molotov cocktails. Shawamreh tried to lob a Molotov cocktail at his pursuers, and he was shot three times with live ammunition a military jeep.[12][56]

أكد مستشفى رام الله الحكومي وصول جثمان الشهيد محمود الشوامرة (22 عاماً) للمستشفى مساء الاثنين.
وأكدت مصادر فلسطينية وإسرائيلية استشهاد الشاب محمود شوامرة(22 عاما) برصاص جنود الاحتلال خلال احتجاجات شهدتها بلدة الرام شمال القدس المحتلة.
وأكد جيش الاحتلال أطلاق النار على شوامرة زاعما بأنه ألقى زجاجة حارقة ودفع بإطار مشتعل اتجاه جنود الاحتلال.
وقال شهود عيان إن الشهيد الشوامرة قتل برصاص مستوطن، ويبدو أن الحديث يدور عن أحد أفراد الوحدات الخاصة التي ترتدي زيا مدنيا أو أحد أفراد وحدة المستعربين.
واوضح شهود العيان أن شوامرة تعرض لإطلاق نار على مفرق مفرق بلدة الرام، وفور الإعلان عن استشهاده خرجت مسيرة غاضبة من مستشفى رام الله الحكومي إلى شوارع المدينة، ردد المشاركون خلالها بالمطالبة بالثأر لدم الشهيد.
واصيب مساء اليوم الاثنين، 20 مواطناً بالرصاص الحي والمطاطي خلال المواجهات التي اندلعت بين الشبان وقوات الاحتلال في بلدة بيت أمر شمال الخليل، عقب مسيرة دعت اليها القوى الوطنية والإسلامية في البلدة تضامناً مع قطاع غزة، وتنديداً بالمجازر التي يرتكبها الاحتلال بخق أبناء الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة.
وأفاد محمد عياد عوض، الناطق الاعلامي باسم اللجنة الاعلامية لمقاومة الاستيطان في بيت أمر، بأن 6 شبان اصيبوا بالرصاص الحي و14 آخر اصيبوا بالرصاص المطاطي، وعُرف منهم: ابراهيم احمد اجديع العلامي (30 عاما) في قدمه، ومعاذ يوسف احمد العلامي (13 عاما) اصابة في الوجه، وسامر ابراهيم موسى ابو مارية (16 عاما) اصابة في الوجه، وأنس يوسف كمال عادي (17 عاما) اصابة في القدم، ونصر فتحي فخري اخليل (25 عاما) اصابة في اليد، وعيسى محمد عيسى اخليل (17 عاما) شظايا رصاص حي في القدم.
واضاف عوض، كما اصيب 14 مواطناً بالرصاص المعدني والمطاطي والاصابات بين طفيفة ومتوسطة وقامت طواقم اسعاف الهلال الاحمر ومتطوعيه، بتقديم العلاج لعدد من المصابين فيما تم نقل بعض المصابين الى مستشفيات مدينة الخليل.
وقال عوض:” وقد استهدف جنود الاحتلال منزل المواطن مرشد محمد عوض برصاصة معدنية اخترقت زجاج نافذة في المطبخ حيث كانت زوجته تعمل داخله ولم تصب وقد اصيب جندي احتلالي بحجر في عينه تم نقله باسعاف عسكرية، كما قام جنود الاحتلال باستهدافي بشكل مباشر برصاصة معدنية في راسي عندما كنت اقوم بتصوير الاحداث وتم نقلي باسعاف الهلال الاحمرالى مجمع الحكمة التخصصي وتلقيت الاسعافات اللازمة”.

Ramallah Government Hospital confirmed the arrival of the body of martyr Mahmoud al-Shawamreh (22 years) to the hospital Monday evening.
Palestinian and Israeli sources confirmed the martyrdom of the 22-year-old Mahmud Shuamreh by Israeli soldiers during protests in al-Ram town, north of Jerusalem.
The army of occupation confirmed the shooting of Shuamreh, claiming that he threw a Molotov cocktail and pushed a burning tire towards the Israeli soldiers.
Eyewitnesses said that al-Shawamra was shot dead by a settler, and that it appeared that a member of the special units in civilian clothes or a member of the undercover unit was talking.
Eyewitnesses explained that Shawamreh was shot at Mafraq junction of the town of RAM, and immediately after the announcement of his martyrdom, an angry march from the Ramallah government hospital went to the streets of the city, during which the participants echoed the demand to avenge the blood of the martyr.
On Monday evening, 20 people were wounded by live and rubber bullets during clashes between youths and the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Amorder, north of Hebron, following a march called by the national and Islamic forces in the town in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, and condemning the massacres committed by the occupation by the children The Palestinian people in Gaza.
Mohammed Ayad Awad, media spokesperson for the Settlement Resistance Media Committee in Beit Amer, reported that six youths were injured by live bullets and 14 others were wounded by rubber bullets, including Ibrahim Ahmed Agdia al-‘ami (30) in his foot, and Moaz Yusuf Ahmed Alami, 13, injured in the face, and Samer Ibrahim Musa Abu Marais, 16, injured in the face, and Anas Yousef Kamal (17) was injured in the foot, and Nasr Fathi Fakhri Akhlil (25 years) injured in the hand, and Issa Mohammed Issa Akhlil (17 years) shrapnel live bullets in the foot.
Awad added, and 14 citizens were injured by metal and rubber bullets and minor and moderate injuries, and Red Crescent ambulance crews and volunteers provided treatment to a number of the injured while some of the injured were taken to Hebron hospitals.
Awad said: ” The occupation soldiers targeted the house of the citizen Murshid Mohammed Awad with a metal bullet that penetrated a window glass in the kitchen where his wife was working inside and did not hit a soldier was injured by a stone in a sample that was transported by military ambulance, and the Israeli occupation soldiers targeted directly with a metal bullet in my head when I was filming For the events and I was transferred by the Red Crescent ambulance to Al Hikma specialized complex and received the necessary aid.

Amid tension with the U.S. over President Trump’s announcement recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the Fatah movement – both its leadership and its activists in the field – has also escalated its rhetoric against Israel, with emphasis on encouraging armed struggle (see also MEMRI Special Dispatch No. 7259, Fatah Social Media Accounts Glorify Armed Struggle Against Israel, Incite To Violence, January 2, 2018). One expression of this was a mass rally and parade held by Fatah’s youth movement in Bir Zeit University on January 3, 2018, as part of events marking Fatah Day, i.e., the 53rd anniversary of Fatah’s founding. The participants in the rally and parade wore military uniforms, and some were masked and wore shrouds and dummy explosive belts. One of the signs they carried bore Yasser Arafat’s slogan, “millions of martyrs are marching on Jerusalem.”
Fatah Youth Activists At Bir Zeit Event Convey Support For Armed Struggle
One of signs carried at the rally bore a photo of Yousuf Al-Shayeb, the coordinator of the Fatah Youth’s activities at BirZeitUniversity, who was arrested by the Israeli armed forces on December 17, 2017 during violent protests against Trump’s Jerusalem announcement.[3] Before his arrest he called on his comrades to mobilize and prepare for “every option” in defense of Jerusalem.[4] The Fatah Youth at Bir Zeit issued a statement condemning his arrest, and stating: “The policy of the occupation will not intimidate us or prevent us from defending our beloved Jerusalem, the capital of the state of Palestine… We convey a message to the Israeli occupation, that the escalation will come… If you think the flames in Bir Zeit will go out, you should expect a volcano of fire… This enemy [Israel] understands only the language of rage and of force.”[5] Al-Shayeb’s personal Facebook account (Facebook.com/profile.php?id=100015242946195) feautres messages in support of armed struggle, such as photos of armed Al-Aqsa Brigades fighters.
CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Mahmoud Shawamreh was an example of this.
