ميلاد مجاهد
ولد شهيدنا المجاهد مهند يوسف محمد ضهير في الثالث عشر من ديسمبر عام 1993م بمدينة رفح جنوب قطاع غزة لأسرة فلسطينية متواضعة اتخذت الإسلام والجهاد منهجاً وسبيل حياة.
وتربى شهيدنا المجاهد مهند ضهير في أكناف عائلة مجاهدة ملتزمة بدين الله، وترعرع في أحضان أسرته المكونة من والديه وأربعة أشقاء وثلاث شقيقات وشاء القدر أن يكون الثالث بين أخوته.
ودرس شهيدُنا المجاهد المرحلة الأساسية والإعدادية في مدارس تابعة للحكومة في مشوار دراسي تكلل بالنجاح، وخلال مراحله الدراسية المختلقة شهد له الجميع من معلمين وطلاب بحسن الخلق والمعاملة الحسنة, وانتقل لمدرسة بئر السبع ليكمل المرحلة الثانوية, ولم يقّدر له الالتحاق بالجامعة لانشغاله بالعمل ومشاركته في سد شؤون واحتياجات البيت، نظراً للوضع المعيشي الصعب الذي كانت تعيشُه العائلة، حيث عمل في منجرة لصناعة الأخشاب.
صفاته وأخلاقه
تميز شهيدنا مهند منذ صغره بالهدوء وبره لوالديه ويعاملهما بكل حب واحترام، أما عن معاملته مع اخوته فتميزت بالدفء والحنان، وكان والديه يعتمدان عليه في كثير من القضايا المختلفة، وكان شهيدنا متواضعاً جداً مع جيرانه وأقاربه ويشاركهم في أفراحهم وأحزانهم، حتى نال حب جميع من حوله، نظراً لأخلاقه العالية وصفاته الحسنة.
صاحب روح مرحة
يوسف ضهير والد الشهيد المجاهد مهند تحدث لـ”الإعلام الحربي” عن صفاته وسماته، فقال:” الأخلاق العالية والحديث الحسن أهم ما تميز به مهند منذ صغره, كما تمتع بالروح المرحة المحّبة التي تفيض بالخير لكل من عرفه، وكان كالملاك في هدوئه وتصرفاته مع الجميع , وكان دائماً يحرص على زيارة أقاربه وأرحامه ولم يشغله عمله عن أداء واجبه تجاه أقربائه”.
وأوضح بأن نجله مهند كان محباً جداً للصغار ويلهو معهم في أوقات الفراغ, وكان دوماً يلبي طلبات أولاد شقيقه الصغار, مبيناً بأنه عندما كان يجلس لملاعبة الصغار كان يذهب تفكيره إلى سنوات الطفولة التي عاشها, وكان كثيراً ما يسأل عن تفاصيل حياته ورفاقه في الصغر.
وأشار والده إلى أن مهند كان من عشاق لعبة كرة القدم فكان بارعاً فيها، وقد فاز في العديد من المباريات التي تنفذ داخل أطر العائلة والتي كان أبرزها مباريات نادي النجوم والتي جرت على شرف ذكرى الشهيد عوني ضهير، حيث لعب دور حارس المرمي في المباراة , وكان أيضا يمارس تمارين الحديد وحمل الأثقال في نادي خدمات رفح وحصل على ترتيب متقدم من بين زملائه, وحصل أيضاً على العديد من الميداليات لجدارته في اللعب.
الابن البار
أما الحاجة المجاهدة “أم يزن” والدة الشهيد مهند ضهير قالت لـ”الإعلام الحربي”:” كان ابني مهند نعم الابن البار الذي يرسم الابتسامة علي وجوهنا رغم كل المتاعب التي يمر بها , ولا يغضب أحداً ويطلب المسامحة من الجميع بشكل دائم لأنه كان يترقب موعده مع الشهادة”.
وتابعت حديثها بالقول:” قبل استشهاده بأيام كانت تصرفاته غريبة في البيت فالجميع لاحظ عليه وعلى خطواته السريعة, حتى على صفحته عالفيس بوك كان دائماً يضع المنشورات التي تنذر بقرب موعده مع الشهادة حتى نالها في منتصف شهر رمضان المبارك برفقة صديقه المجاهد عز الدين بلبل”.
وبدموع الحزن على فراق فلذة الكبد أشارت والدة الشهيد مهند إلى أنه خرج من البيت وبعدها بسبع دقائق فقط سمعت صوت انفجار عنيف هز المنطقة, عندها شعرت بغصة في قلبي وأحسسّت بشيء غريب، أيقنت في حينها أن “مهند” هو المستهدف, وبدأت الاتصال به لكنه كان قد ترك هاتفه الخلوي في البيت, وما هي إلا لحظات حتى جاءني زوجي وأخبرني بأن مهند قد استشهد، مبينةً أنها عندما ألقت نظرات الوداع على نجلها “مهند” كان مسبل العينين ومبتسم الشفاه, ورائحته مسك فاح عطرها في أرجاء المنزل.
في أحضان مسجد عمار بن ياسر
بدأت علاقةُ شهيدنا بالمسجد وعمره ستة سنوات, حيث كان والده يصطحبه معه إلى المسجد منذُ نعومة أظفاره, فتميز بالانضباط والالتزام في كافة الصلوات وخاصة صلاة الفجر، وكان يسارعُ إلى الصفوف الأولى من المسجد ولا يقبل أن يكون في الصفوف الخلفية، وكان يقضي معظم أوقاته في المسجد داعياً إخوانه وجيرانه وأصدقاءه إلى الالتزام في المسجد والمحافظة على قراءة القرآن والالتحاق بحلقات الذكر والاستماع إلى الخطب والدروس الدينية، وخلال رحلته في المسجد وتواجده فيه، تلقى شهيدنا العديد من الدورات التثقيفية والفقهية والعقائدية ، وكان لا يتوانى للحظةً عن الالتحاق بحلقات العلم والدين.
درب العزة والإباء
عشق شهيدنا مهند منذ صغره الجهاد والمجاهدين وتمنى ان يكون جندياً من جنود الله في الأرض, ليحارب أعداء الله اليهود قتلة الأنبياء والمرسلين وقتلة الأطفال ومدنسي المقدسات ومغتصبي البلاد، الذين يعيثون في الأرضِ الفسادِ.
والتحق شهيدنا في صفوف حركة الجهاد الإسلامي وذراعها العسكري سرايا القدس وهو طالب في الثانوية العامة, وقد حقق أمنيته التي كان يتمناها دائماً، وكان شهيدنا من الشباب الذين يتمتعون بالأخلاق الحسنة والحيوية والنشاط مما أهله بسرعة للالتحاق في سرايا القدس, وقد أصبح مرابطاً على الثغور لحمايتها.
تلقى شهيدنا المجاهد العديد من الدورات العسكرية في مختلف التخصصات، وأهلته تلك التخصصات لأن يكون مجاهداً فاعلاً قادر على تحمل المسئولية وتنفيذ المهام الصعبة, حيث كان من أبرز مجاهدي الوحدة الخاصة في سرايا القدس بلواء رفح.
وترجل الفارس الهمام
في منتصف شهر رمضان المبارك أدى الشهيد المجاهد مهند ضهير صلاة التراويح في مسجد عمار بن ياسر وذهب إلى بيته مسرعاً مودعاً أهله، عازماً على إحدى الحسنيين إما النصر أو الشهادة في سبيل الله مقبلاً غير مدبرٍ، بتاريخ 12/7/2014 خرج من بيته ولم يبعد إلا قليلاً، حيث غربان السماء “طائرات الاستطلاع الصهيونية” كانت له بالمرصاد فأطلقت تجاهه صاروخين على الأقل، وأصابته إصابة مباشرة ارتقى على إثرها شهيداً وفاضت روحه الطاهرةُ إلى بارئها.

The Path of Pride and Fatherhood
Our martyr Muhannad loved from a young age jihad and mujahideen and wished to be a soldier of God in the earth, to fight the enemies of God, the Jewish murderers of prophets and messengers, the murderers of children, the holy cities and the usurpers of the country, who live in the land of corruption.
Our martyr joined the ranks of the Islamic Jihad movement and its military arm Saraya al-Quds, a high school student, and he fulfilled his wish, which he always wished, and our martyr was a young man with good morals, vitality and activity, which quickly qualified him to join the Brigades of Jerusalem, and he became stationed on the gaps to protect her.
Our martyr al-Mujahid received many military courses in various disciplines, and qualified him to be an active mujahedeen capable of taking responsibility and carrying out difficult tasks, where he was one of the most prominent mujahedeen of the special unit in the Brigades of Jerusalem in the Rafah Brigade.

In the middle of the holy month of Ramadan, the martyr Muhannad Dahir performed taraweeh prayers in the Mosque of Ammar bin Yasser and went to his house, hurrying his family, determined to one of the hassanis either victory or martyrdom for the sake of God, an unplanned future, on 12 July 2014 he left his house and was only a little away, where the crows of heaven The Zionist reconnaissance was watched by him, and at least two rockets were fired at him, and he was directly hit, after which he rose up as a martyr and his pure soul overflowed to its righteousness.

At approximately 22:25, an Israeli drone launched attacked 2 members of the al-Quds Brigades (the armed wing of Islamic Jihad), in al-Zohour neighborhood in the north of Rafah, and killed one of them, Muhannad Yousef Dubahir, 21. The other one, ‘Izziddin Na’im Bulbul, 27, was seriously wounded and he died at the hospital 3 hours later.
INCIDENT SUMMARY
On Saturday, July 12, 2014, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at Muhannad Dheir and Ezzeddin BolBol. Dheir was killed immediately and Bolbol died hours later, July 13, 2014. Both were members of the al-Quds Brigades.
CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the ‘martyrs’ on their website did not truthfully portray who they were. Mohannad Yousef Dheir is an example of this.

The martyr poster of Dheir on the left is how Dheir is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, 23 years old, was killed on Saturday July 12, 2014 in Rafah.
Other that a beret bearing a logo not easily identifiable (it is the logo of the al-Quds Brigades), there is nothing else to suggest his membership in a terrorist organization. The only other object appearing in the poster is a blurred picture of the al-aqsa mosque:
The martyr poster on the right is the real Dheir, concealed by the original Humanize Palestine narratives. This is the Dheir who appears on the al-Quds Brigades website, the Dheir who received many military courses in various disciplines, and qualified him to be an active mujahedeen capable of taking responsibility and carrying out difficult tasks, where he was one of the most prominent mujahedeen of the special unit in the Brigades of Jerusalem in the Rafah Brigade.
The martyr poster on the right clearly identifies Dheir as a terror operative combatant. To his right and left shoulders are two small photos of himself, clearly identifying him as a terror combatant:
WEBSITE’S FALSE NARRATIVES CREATE EXAGGERATED UNTRUTHFUL CIVILIAN CASUALTY FIGURES
The original Humanize Palestine website was a memorial for martyred Palestinian terrorists. The website created false narratives for these individuals by utilizing texts and photographs to conceal their terror organization affiliations. This allowed the website to represent these individuals as either civilian casualties of war or as innocent Palestinian protesters, all victims of the ‘Israeli occupation’.
Like Hamas, the original Humanize Palestine website created false narratives to support the deception that many more civilians were killed by the Israeli security apparatus than terror combatants. As stated above, this was accomplished by falsely representing martyred combatants and street terrorists as civilian casualties of war or innocent protesters. However, the original Humanize Palestine website enhanced this deception by utilizing an additional more subtle technique. Their website untruthfully exaggerated the number of incidents involving the deaths of martyred Palestinian terrorists who were falsely represented as civilian casualties of war. This created the perception that many more Palestinian civilians were killed than actually were. The Mohannad Yousef Dheir narrative is an example of this deception.
Mohannad Yousef Dheir was killed together with Ezzeddin Bolbol, in the same incident. However, the reader would never know this by reading the narratives appearing on the original Humanize Palestine website, Dheir and Bolbol webpages.

Two different narratives falsely created the deception that they were both killed in two unrelated incidents. The truth is found on the ReliefWeb website:
