Omar Ahmad Sheikh al-Eid, 24 years old, was killed on Monday July 14, 2014 in Rafah. He was part of the Islamic Jihad. He was killed with his daughter, Sara, and brother, Jihad, when their home was targeted by an Israeli airstrike in the Musabbeh neighborhood in the north of Rafah.

اليوم وكل يوم نحن على موعد مع تجديد البيعة، بيعة الدم والشهادة فكل يوم نودع شهيداً وقمراً من الأقمار الذين ضحوا بكل ما يملكون في سبيل الله فهنيئاً لكم أيها الشهداء، هنيئاً لكم يا سادتنا ، يا رجالات القوة والانتصار فلا ندري أنتألم حزناً لفراقكم، أم نبكي دماً على رحيلكم، أم نبتسم فرحاً لأنكم نلتم شهادة العزة والكرامة.
الشهيد عمر أحمد شيخ العيد ، المقاتل في كل ميادين، هنيئاً لك فلقد رحلت ورزقك الله الشهادة كما تمنيت في أرض الشرف مقبلاً غير مدبراً.
الميلاد والنشأة
في الثامن والعشرين من شهر أكتوبر لعام 1987م ولد فارس من فرسان هذه الأمة ، وبطل من أبطال الإسلام العظيم، حيث أشرقت شمس بمولد الشهيد عمر أحمد شيخ العيد بمدينة رفح.
ترعرع عمر في أحضان أسرة ملتزمة بتعاليم الإسلام الحنيف، تجرع عمر كما باقي الفلسطينيون مرارة وظلم الاحتلال الصهيوني ، ليبقى فكره راسخاً في مقاومة وقتال أعداء الله، تميز شهيدنا بالأخلاق الحسنة، وحب الدين والوطن، والدفاع عن أرضنا الحبيبة فلسطين، ونشأ شجاعا ًمقداما ًلا يهاب في الله لومة لائم، رحيماً على إخوانه المؤمنين، شديداً على الكافرين والمنافقين.
تلقى عمر تعليمه الأساسي في مدارس الغوث للاجئين بمدينة رفح وانتقل ليكمل تعليمه الثانوي بمدرسة بئر السبع الثانوية وحصل على تقدير عام جيد،تزوج شهيدنا من فتاة مصون وأنجب منها ابنتين سارة ويارا، حيث استشهدت البكر سارة في الغارة التي استهدفت أبيها وعمها الشهيد “جهاد” وتبقت يارا وحيدة، وبعد شهرين من حادثة الاغتيال رزقت زوجة الشهيد عمر ببنت أسمتها “سارة” تيمناً بأختها الشهيدة.
في صفوف السرايا
أكرم الله تعالى عمر أحمد شيخ العيد بنعمة الجهاد في سبيل الله، والتحق بصفوف السرايا في عام 2004م، وكان مثالاً للمجاهد الصادق الذي يتحلى بالسمع والطاعة والالتزام بكل ما يطلب منه، عمل كأحد الجنود البارزين في وحدة سلاح الإشارة لسرايا القدس، وكان له شرف المشاركة الفاعلة في العديد من المهام الأخرى.
رحيل الزهور
لطالما حلم الجسد الذي عمل لله، وتعب في سبيله، وجاهد اعلاءً لكلمته، وتقدم دفاعاً عن المقدسات، ورابط على ثغور المسلمين، لطالما حلم بالشهادة والسكينة في جوار الرسول الحبيب.
ففي مساء يوم الثلاثاء 2014/7/14م كان شهدينا عمر أحمد شيخ العيد على موعد مع الشهادة، حيث فاضت روحه إلى بارئها بعد الانتهاء من تناول طعام الإفطار بعد نهار صوم متعب وشاق، حيث استهدفته طائرة استطلاع بصاروخين هو وأخيه “جهاد” وابنته “سارة” بشكل مباشر واستشهدوا على الفور، ليستريح الجسد بجوار ربه، وترقد الروح في مستقر رحمته، ويترك المهمة لإخوانه، وليحمل الأمانة رجال صدقوا ما عاهدوا الله عليه فمنهم من قضى نحبه ومنهم من ينتظر وما بدلوا تبديلا. رحم الله شهيدنا عاش لله وعشق الوطن، وارتقى بالجهاد وتشرف بالشهادة وحظي بالجنان.

May God bless our martyr who lived for God and loved the homeland, rose to jihad, honored with martyrdom, and received the jinn.

FACT #1
Omar Sheikh al-Eid was part of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), al-Quds Brigades which is the military wing of PIJ. These terror organizations have been designated by the U.S. Department of State, Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO).

The entire Sheikh al-Eid family belonged to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, al-Quds Brigades:

Omar Ahmad Sheikh al-Eid was “one of the leading soldiers in the signal weapon unit of the Al-Quds Brigades“. The al-Quds Brigades website reported that “he was targeted by a reconnaissance plane with two missiles, along with his brother “Jihad” and his daughter “Sara” directly”.
The “signal weapon” is the military radio used for communications, command and control. Omar was specifically targeted [“he was targeted”] by an Israeli aircraft, most likely because Omar was communicating on a military radio channel, the radio traffic was monitored by the IDF, its source and position was identified and targeted, killing Omar, Jihad and Sara.
CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Omar Ahmad Sheikh al-Eid is an example of this.

The photograph of Omar on the left is how Omar is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, his terror organization affiliation concealed, 24 years old, was killed on Monday July 14, 2014 in Rafah. He was part of the Islamic Jihad.
The photograph on the right is who Omar truthfully was, a terror operative combatant. This is the Omar who appears on the al-Quds Brigades website, the Omar who was one of the leading soldiers in the signal weapon unit of the Al-Quds Brigades, and had the honor of active participation in many other tasks.
The original Humanize Palestine website does state that Omar was a member of the “Islamic Jihad”. Missing however, is the fact that he was a member of its military wing, the al-Quds Brigades, he was a terror operative combatant. This concealment, false narrative, is enabled by the martyr poster below, left, appearing on the original Humanize Palestine website:
The martyr poster on the left appeared on the original Humanize Palestine website. The martyr poster on the right appears on the al-Quds Brigades website, the two are side by side for comparison purposes.

The martyr poster on the right, taken from the al-Quds Brigades website, clearly identifies Omar as a terror combatant:
Omar and Jihad were al-Quds Brigades terror operative combatants. While engaged in combat, radio communications, command and control, they were targeted and killed together. In death, they continue to share a common bond, their families are both being rewarded for their commitment to the ideology of Palestinian terrorism. A Qatari charity has assumed guardianship of their children which provides the families with US dollars and other goods and services:

The Hearing and Sight Foundation for Development and Community Rehabilitation is a Qatari NGO charity. It states that its charitable projects in Gaza support the needy, the poor, widows and orphans, especially the parents of cochlear-planted children, many of whom can not afford rehabilitation fees, transportation and other expenses. This is not completely true and misrepresents what the charity presently does in Gaza.
The charity covertly supports and rewards the families of martyred Palestinian terror operatives, affiliates and combatants such as Omar Ahmad Sheikh al-Eid and his brother, Jihad Ahmad Sheikh al-Eid. By falsely claiming that the charity supports the needy, poor, widows and orphans, the parents of cochlear-planted children, they are concealing their true mission. Receiving aid is not dependent on any of the above. Being needy and poor is not a requirement. The predicate for receiving aid is the family’s affiliation with a Gaza terror organization. The charity supports and rewards the children, widows and orphans of dead Palestinian terror operatives.
Islamic law does not allow adoption, taking someone else’s child as your own. The closest thing to adoption that is is allowed is legal foster care known as “kafala” (كَفَالَة). Kafala is the Islamic legal institution analogous to guardianship and it is used instead of adoption. The Qatari charity is the legal guardian of the 239 children who appeared on their website’s kafala photo gallery, the sons and daughters of martyred Gaza terror operatives. The photo gallery consisted of twenty pages, twelve children per page, eleven on Page 20.
The charity’s website and kafala photo gallery were removed from the internet. Before this happened, most of the website and the twenty pages of photographs were archived. Below, a partial screen grab of one of the archived kafala pages:
