Mohammed Tayseer Yousef Shorab, 22 years old, was killed on Wednesday July 16, 2014 when an Israeli drone fired a missile at him while he was returning to his house in the Gizan Abu Rashwan area south west of Khan Younis.

Mohammed’s cousin, Amer, spoke on Democracy Now about the murder of his cousin:

He was targeted by one of those drones that Sharif was talking about. He was visiting some friends. He left their house at 1:00 a.m., started walking home, and on the walk home he was directly targeted by a drone. A couple hours later, actually, the house of the friends that he was visiting was bombed by the Israeli Air Force, and it killed two and injured several other people. His dad—because those friends are their neighbors, his dad went to visit—ran to the house of the neighbors, the friends, to help evacuate the wounded, in fear of the house being bombed again. And the dad was looking for Mohammed, his eldest son, his 22-year-old eldest son, and was looking for him to help. A couple hours later, once light started coming out, people saw a body on the street that they realized was Mohammed’s.

نشأة فارس

 (أبو عبد الرحمن) كان ممن أنجبتهم خان يونس، في العام 1993 م، ولعل ميلاد شهيدنا ألحقه بفترة قصيرة انسحاب القوات الصهيونية نحو المناطق الحدودية والجنوبية للمدينة.
 هذه الفترة أيضا فيما بعد شهدت تطور للمقاومة والجهاد المسلح للمقاومة الفلسطينية وعلى رأسها كتائب القسام.
وفي كنف أسرة آمنت بالجهاد والتزمت به، ترعرع الطفل محمد شراب، وكان منذ نعومة أظافره ذو خلق حسن محمود، وابتسامة صادقة لا تغيب عن محياه الطيب. 
وفي شبابه، كان (محمد) ذراع والده الأيمن، حيث أنه أبى إلا أن يساعد والده في مصاريف البيت ليكون رجلا بحق، وكان مطيعاً لوالديه، براً بهما. 
وهكذا كان أيضا في معاملته مع إخوانه ومعارفه، حيث إخوانه يذكرونه بأنه كان سلساً في المعاملة، هادئ لم يعهد عليه أي تصرفات طائشة، سمحاً بطبعه ذو ابتسامة دائمة كما قلنا.
 أما أقاربه، فقد شهدوا لشهيدنا بأنه كان لا يغضب أحداً، طيباً معهم، حريصاً على خدمتهم بأي وسيلة كانت. 
وكان يصفه البعض أنه قدوة للشاب الملتزم المطيع بين أقرأنه، وشخصية الشهيد محمد لم تتشكل من فراغ، فلقد تربى شهيدنا وتعلق قلبه بالمسجد (الإسراء) منذ الصغر، وطافت روحه المرحة بين أكنافه، حتى فاضت بالقرب منه إلى بارئها.

دراسته وتعليمه

بالحديث عن دراسة الشهيد، فلقد درس الابتدائية في مدرسة أحمد عبد العزيز، ولم يكمل مسيرته التعليمية لبعض الأسباب، لعل منها رغبته في أن يتفرغ لمساعدة والده. ولكن مع هذا يذكر، أنه كان صاحب سلوك طيب مع أقرانه، من المبادرين في حب الخير وفعله، ولعل كثير ممن حوله، لاحظ أنه شخص كبير رغم صغر سنه.
تمثل عمل الشهيد الحياتي، بأنه كان سائق باص وبذلك يساعد والده في مصروف البيت.

في ركب الدعوة

نشأ الشهيد أبو عبد الرحمن في أكناف مسجد الإسراء، متعلقاً به، الأمر الذي جعله ينتمي إلى العمل الدعوي ويمارس دوره في ذلك بهمة ورغبة عالية. حتى أصبح مسؤول العمل الجماهيري في المسجد، ويذكر بأنه كان فعالاً في كافة الأنشطة المسجدية،
وخاصة في شهر رمضان، فكان يحرص على أن يقوم بتوزيع التمر واللبن على الصائمين آنذاك.

حياته الجهادية

لم يكتف شهيدنا، بعمله الدعوي والتنظيمي، ولكنه ألح على اخوانه وأكثر من الالحاح للالتحاق بركب كتائب القسام لتكتمل لوحته بالعمل العسكري الدؤوب ابتداء من العام 2007 م. كان ومنذ اللحظات الأولى في ذلك، من المبادرين للعمل بأنواعه المختلفة، 
وتميز أيضاً بنشاطه الكبير في الميدان وحرصه على المشاركة في اللياقة وكذا على موعد الرباط. 
فقد كان جندياً مجاهداً في وحدة القنص وحاز على درجة الامتياز في الدورة الخاصة بها، وتميز بلياقة بدنية عالية. 
وبتسليط الضوء أكثر على حياته الجهادية، فلقد كان خلوقاً جداً أثناء الرباط، لا يتأخر عن موعده، يحرص على الاستيقاظ والانتباه الجيد لكيلا يفوته. 
كان هذا هو الشهيد تيسير في حياته الأخلاقية الجهادية رمزاً للكثيرين وقدوة لهم، متفانياً في أعماله الجهادية، فقد كانت حياة الشهيد الجهادية زاخرة بالأعمال والبذل والعطاء.

على موعد

دقت الحرب طبولها، وأعلن بدء المواجهة مع هذا العدو، وكان دور المجاهدين فيها هو إيلام العدو بسبب ارتكابه الجرائم ضد أبناء شعبنا الذي سيبقى يناضل ويناضل حتى حريته. 
وكما هو المطلوب منه، كان الشهيد تيسير يقوم بمهمته، فلقد حرص على ذلك وتفانى فيه أيضا. 
وكان شهيدنا قد تم تكليفه بمهمة في منطقته وأثناء تأديته مهمته تم استهدافه من قبل طائرات الغدر فترجل المجاهد ابو عبد الرحمن نحو السماء، وارتقت روحه في عز تودعنا وتعدنا بأن النصر قريب إن شاء الله. 
فهنيئا لك شهيدنا … وألحقنا الله بك في عليين أيها المجاهد المناضل….

PARTIAL ENGLISH TRANSLATION

His jihadi life
Not only did our martyr, his advocacy and organizational work, but he insisted on his brothers and more than the urge to join the ranks of the Al-Qassam Brigades to complete his painting with hard military work starting in 2007.
He was also distinguished by his great activity in the field and his keenness to participate in fitness as well as the date of Rabat.
He was a mujahedeen soldier in the sniping unit, and he earned a degree of excellence in her course, and was well-fit.
By highlighting his jihadist life, he was very creative during Rabat, not too late, keen to wake up and pay good attention so he wouldn’t miss it.
This was the martyr Tayseer in his jihadi moral life as a symbol and role model for many, dedicated to his jihadi actions, the life of the jihadi martyr was full of work, effort and giving.

The war sounded its drums, and the confrontation with this enemy was declared, and the role of the mujahedeen in it was to hurt the enemy because of the crimes committed against our people, who will continue to struggle and fight until their freedom.
As required of him, The martyr Tayseer was doing his job, and he was keen on it and dedicated to it as well.
Our martyr had been assigned a mission in his area and in the course of his mission he was targeted by the planes of treachery and the mujahedeen Abu Abdul Rahman stepped into the sky, and his soul rose in the pride of our farewell and promised us that victory is close hopefully.
Congratulations to you, our martyr… God has joined us in Alyin, you militant mujahedeen.

THE INCIDENT

Mohammed Shorab [Mohammed Tayseer Shurrab] was an Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades terror operative combatant, a member of its sniping unit who had “earned a degree of excellence in her course”.

On July 16, 2014, he was “assigned a mission in his area”. While carrying out his mission, he was targeted by an Israeli aircraft and killed.

Mohammed Tayseer Yousef Shorab was killed while he was engaged in a mission assigned to him by the al-Qassam Brigades. He was not killed while he was returning to his house.

THE FACTS

Mohammed Shorab’s cousin was Amer Shurrab, a Palestinian graduate student studying at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California. On July 28, 2014, he was interviewed by Amy Goodman, Democracy Now. This is what he said:

“Israel is deliberately targeting civilians from the day one … they have been bombing houses, wiping entire families to try to scare people into submission ….”

In addition to Mohammed Shorab, Amer describes what happened to two other cousins:

“… their house in the Sheikh Nasser region in Khan Younis was bombed by the Israeli Air Forces … flattened to the ground … the next morning … they extracted the body of Iyad. And then, the next morning, during the 12-hour ceasefire, they had more time to dig through the rubble and found two more bodies of his brothers … they were all recently married.”

Amer’s family was a family of Palestinian terror combatants, belonging to several U.S. Department of State designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations, Hamas’ Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades. His fraudulent statement was published on the original Humanize Palestine website:

CREATING FALSE NARRATIVES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS

The original Humanize Palestine website routinely did this, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Mohammed Tayseer Yousef Shorab was an example of this.

The photograph of Shorab on the left is how Shorob is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, his terror organization affiliation concealed, 22 years old, was killed on Wednesday July 16, 2014 when an Israeli drone fired a missile at him while he was returning to his house in the Gizan Abu Rashwan area south west of Khan Younis..

The photograph on the right is who Shorob truthfully was, a terror operative combatant. This is the Shorob who appears on the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website, the Shorob who was a mujahedeen soldier in the sniping unit, and he earned a degree of excellence in her course … had been assigned a mission in his area and in the course of his mission he was targeted by the planes of treachery.

HAMAS / IZZ AL-DIN AL-QASSAM BRIGADES FUNDRAISING SCHEME

Prior to August 2020, the Hamas and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades websites had a green banner at the top of their home page. This is how the home page of Hamas’ TV station, al-Aqsa TV, appeared on March 16, 2020:

The green banner contained an embedded URL that linked to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website. Clicking on the green banner would open this webpage:

This was a fund raising scheme utilizing cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to underwrite its terrorism (“resistance”). Note that the solicitation is in English. This would indicate that the fund raising scheme not only targeted Arabic speaking countries but English speaking western countries as well, such as the U.S.

In August 2020, the U.S. government seized the website, funds and assets:

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE SEIZURE

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, Mohammed Tayseer Yousef Shorab was one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.

Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
