Walid Salman Abu Zahir was a member of the military leadership of the National Resistance Brigades (NRB), the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine. On July 22, 2014, he died as the result of injuries he sustained on July 20th as he led NRB fighters in combat with Israeli troops, “during an armed clash in a heroic operation”. كتائب المقاومة الوطنية خلال تصديها لعدوان الجرف الصامد
غزة (شبكة الشهيد عمر القاسم) (خاص الاعلام العسكري)– تمكنت كتائب المقاومة الوطنية الجناح العسكري للجبهة الديمقراطية لتحرير فلسطين، من تلقين جيش الاحتلال الاسرائيلي ضرباتٍ قاسية وموجعة خلال 51 يوماً من العدوان الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة في صيف العام 2014، فقد تمكنت من قتل وإصابة عشرات الجنود الاسرائيليين بفعل صواريخها وقذائفها المتنوعة التي ضربت المستوطنات والبلدات والمواقع العسكرية المحيطة بقطاع غزة.
كتائب المقاومة الوطنية جنباً إلى جنب مع الاجنحة العسكرية المقاتلة لفصائل المقاومة، أفشلت مخططات الاحتلال في تحقيق أهدافه بفعل المقاومة الباسلة ووحدتها في الميدان والصمود والتضحيات الهائلة للشعب الفلسطيني الذي احتضن وقدم آلاف الشهداء والجرحى.

أطلقت كتائب المقاومة الوطنية منذ بدء العدوان الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة، (443) صاروخ من نوع 107 و(92) صاروخ جراد و(155) قذيفة هاون و(8) صواريخ (C5K)، اتجاه البلدات والمستوطنات الإسرائيلية والمواقع العسكرية الإسرائيلية المحاذية لقطاع غزة.
كما نفذ مقاتلو كتائب المقاومة الوطنية عمليات بطولية في محاور التصدي للقوات الإسرائيلية المتوغلة على حدود القطاع، فقلت 7 جنود إسرائيليين وقعوا قتلى كما أصابت العشرات من جنود الاحتلال في (22) عملية قنص و(20) عملية اشتباك مسلح بشكل مباشر وإطلاق (48) قذيفة RBG وتفجير (30) عبوة أرضية شديدة الانفجار و(10) عبوات جانبية موجهة وإطلاق (14) صاروخاً موجهاً ضد قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وآلياتها العسكرية المتوغلة شرقي جباليا وبيت حانون والتفاح والشجاعية والزيتون والبريج والمغازي وخانيونس ورفح.
ونجت عدة مجموعات من كتائب المقاومة الوطنية من محاولات إغتيال في مواقع متعددة من محاور التصدي للعدوان الإسرائيلي البربري على قطاع غزة، وخلال إطلاق الصواريخ اتجاه بلدات ومستوطنات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وقواته المتوغلة على الحدود الجنوبية والشرقية والشمالية لقطاع غزة خلال 51 يوم من العدوان.
كما قامت مجموعة عسكرية من مقاتلي كتائب المقاومة الوطنية بالاشتباك بالأسلحة الرشاشة من خلف الخطوط، من خلال التسلل في نفق أرضي في شرق حي الزيتون وإيقاع الخسائر في صفوف جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وذلك مساء يوم 30/7/2014.
وقصفت موقع نيريم العسكري بصاروخين من عيار 107 ملم في تمام الساعة 5:30 من مساء يوم الثلاثاء 26/8/2014، وقد اعترف إعلام الاحتلال بمقتل إسرائيلي.
وتمكنت من استهداف منزل بالقرب من المنطقة الصناعية في بيت حانون تتحصن به قوات خاصة تابعة لجيش الاحتلال بالأسلحة الرشاشة والـ بي كي سي وقذائف RBG وإيقاع من بداخله بين قتيل وجريح، في تمام الساعة 5:47 صباح يوم 31/7/2014.
وقامت كتائب المقاومة بتنفيذ عملية بطولية في منطقة الزنة شرق خانيونس ما أدى استشهاد أحد منفذيها الرفيق وليد أبو ظاهر، ومقتل وإصابة العديد من جنود الاحتلال.
وخاض مقاتلي الكتائب إشتباكاً مسلحاً مع جنود الاحتلال في منطقة زلاطة بالشوكة في رفح،استمر لـ 15 دقيقة، بتاريخ 1/8/2014، ما أدى إلى إصابة عدد من جنود الاحتلال وإصابة أحد مقاتليها. كما خاص مقاتليها الاشاوس اشتباكات مسلحة شرق المحافظة الوسطى، خلال تصديهم للقوات الإسرائيلية المتوغلة شرق مخيم البريج.
وقبل انتهاء العدوان الإسرائيلي بدقائق محدودة، تمكنت كتائب المقاومة الوطنية وكتائب الأقصى لواء العامودي من استهداف مستوطنة أشكول برشقات صاروخية مكثفة، ما أدى حسب اعتراف الاحتلال إلى مقتل جندي إسرائيلي واصابة آخرين.
وخلال هذا العدوان قام الاحتلال الإسرائيلي مستخدماً أدواته الحربية من الطائرات المدفعية بقصف الموقع العسكري التابع لها برفح خمس مرات، ما أدى إلى تدميره بالكامل وجرى قصف عشرات المنازل لقادة ومقاتلي كتائب المقاومة الوطنية، وأحدث تدميراً كلياً لعدد منها وجزئياً لعدد آخر.

Also, a military group of the National Resistance Brigades fighters engaged in machine guns from behind the lines, by infiltrating a tunnel in the east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and inflicting casualties on the ranks of the Israeli occupation army, on the evening of 7/30/2014.
The Nereem military site was bombed with two 107 mm rockets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday 26/8/2014, and the occupation media recognized that an Israeli had been killed.
