Yahya Abu Harbied was killed on July 24, 2014, in an Israeli tank attack that targeted a group of people in the Domar Street. He was from Beit Hanoun.

Yahya was related to Hind Abu Harbied, 10 year old girl who died on July 14, 2014, due to a heart attack from the sound of the bombs in Beit Hanoun.

مولد وحياة كريمة

ولد الشهد سيف الإسلام في مدينة الصلاح في بيت حانون بتاريخ 17 / 1 / 1996م، وقد كان الطفل البكر الذي حظيت به العائلة ، لذلك كانت فرحة الأهل به كبيرة، واستبشرت بمولده كل الخير والسعادة، بعد وفاة أخيه الأكبر ضياء الدين.
كان هادئ الطباع، يتصف بالذكاء، فقد كان الجميع يشعر به وكأنه أكبر من عمره خصوصاً في فهمه وذكائه، وفي مصاحبته لمن هم أكبر منه سناً.
حيث كان مثالاً للابن البار والمطيع، تربطه علاقة قوية مع والده، أما والدته فيقول والده فقد كان قريب جداً من والدته لذلك من دون خواته تميزت علاقته بوالدته، فقد كان الابن المقرب إلى قلبها، لأنه كان الولد الوحيد بين 6 أخوات .
يشهد الجيران والأقارب بأن الحياء كان من أهم صفات يحيى، فلم يؤذ أحداً يوماً بكلماته، ولم يسمع منه أحد إلا أطيب الكلمات، فكان دائماً شديد الحرص على التواجد بين أقربائه وجيرانه في مناسباتهم، فنجده دائماً حاضراً وموجوداً لكل من يطلب منه مساعدته.

مسيرته التعليمية

درس المرحلة الابتدائية والإعدادية في مدارس وكالة الغوث في بيت حانون، وأكمل الثانوية في مدرسة هايل عبد الحميد الثانوية للبنين في بيت حانون، وطوال فترة دراسته في مراحلها المختلفة تميز عن غيره بأنه كان طالباً ناجحاً ومجتهداً ومجداً، حتى أنه كان يتميز دائماً بالإجابة على سؤال الذكاء، وهذا ما كان يميز شهادته.
وقد كان يحيى شخصية اجتماعية محبوبة، يحبه معلموه وزملاؤه، معروفاً في مدرسته من خلال مشاركته في المخيمات الكشفية أثناء دراسته الثانوية، أيضاً كان لاعباً متميزاً في كرة القدم في فترة المرحلة الثانوية.
بعد أن أتم الثانوية العامة بنجاح التحق المجاهد يحيى بجامعة القدس المفتوحة تخصص تكنولوجيا المعلومات “IT” ، لينال الشهادة في سبيل الله قبل أن يكمل دراسته الجامعية، ومع ذلك ترك بصمات واضحة من العمل الطلابي في الكتلة الإسلامية من خلال مشاركة الفاعلة في الجامعة وخارجها.

في كنف بيت الله

التزم بالمسجد العجمي منذ صغره، وكبر التزامه وارتباطه بالمسجد كلما كبر عمره، وكان يشارك في اللجان المختلفة في المسجد خصوصا اللجنة الرياضية وجلسات العلم والتعلم وحلقات الذكر الحكيم، نظراً للنشأة والتربية التي نشأها في أسرة معروفة بالتدين ومشهود لها بذلك، كان لكل ذلك الأثر في توجيه يحيى نحو الانتماء للحركة الإسلامية، والتي وجد فيها الحضن الدافئ لكل من يطلب الدعوة والجهاد في سبيل الله.
وقد كان حاضراً وموجوداً في كل فعاليات وأنشطة الحركة المختلفة، فتجده له البصمة المميزة في تمثيل فريق المسجد في لعب كرة القدم ليحصل على لقب البطولة في أكثر من مرة.

بين جنود القسام

كان من الطبيعي على شاب جامعي ومتعلم مثل يحيى أن يعرف أفضل الطرق للجنة هو الجهاد في سبيل الله، لذلك كان إصراره عنيداً في الانتماء لكتائب القسام، فلم تجد قيادة القسام من سبيل في قبوله عضواً فيها ولما رأى من خاله الشهيد القائد محمد الزويدي مثالا يحتذى به في التضحية والإقدام.
فقد كان أسداً جسوراً في أرض الميدان ينطلق بخفه وسرعة يتنقل هنا وهناك ليجهز نفسه للقاء أعداء الله، فكان نعم الجندي المجاهد المخلص المؤدي لعمله الجهادي على أكمل وجه.
كان يحرص باستمرار على مشاركة إخوانه الرباط على ثغور مدينة بيت حانون، حيث كان أهله يرتقبون له الخروج من المنزل ليصل إخوانه ومكانه بخير وسلام.
تميز بالسرية والكتمان في العمل، وأكثر ما كان يميزه أثناء رباطه تذكيره دائماً لإخوانه بضرورة الإكثار من ذكر الله، وأيضاً يحاول أن يخفف عن إخوانه بمزاحهم والضحك معهم. وقد كان متخصصاً في وحدة القنص القسامية، أجاد استخدام سلاح الدراجنوف، وأتقن استخدامه، كان عطاؤه الجهادي عالياً جداً في أرض الميدان يتحرك بخفة وسرعة، فيطلق بسرعة البرق هنا وهناك.
ومن أهم أعماله الجهادية خلال حياته الجهادية الرباط الدوري في سبيل الله على الثغور المتقدمة في مدينة بيت حانون والمشاركة في زرع العبوات في الطرق والمحاور الذي تسلكها دبابات العدو، وأيضاً مشاركة إخوانه المجاهدين في حفر الأنفاق.

ورحل البطل

يحيى وما أدراك ما يحيى شاب في مقتبل عمره كالأسد الهصور لا يهاب في الله لومة لائم يشهد له المجاهدون أنه كان أسدا مغوارا في حرب العصف المأكول وكما يذكر الإخوة أنه إنضم إلى صفوف القسام قبل إستشهاده بحوالي 6 شهور فقط يا ترى هل كانت الستة شهور كفيلة بأن تجعل يحيى رجلا صنديدا مغوارا حتى يحتمل الصبر والصمود في معركة من أقوى المعارك على قطاع غزة ألا وهي معركة العصف المأكول؟
ويذكر إخوانه أنه لم يكل ولم يمل وكان مبادرا مجاهدا يبحث عن الإثخان في العدو بيديه الشريفتين حتى يرتقى لله عز وجل عندما صعد فوق أحد المنازل في شارع حمد ببندقيته الدراجنوف يبحث عن جنود العدو ليكيلهم كيل السندرة ويغطى على إخوانه المجاهدين في الإشتباك الدائر في شارع حمد فيقوم قناص العدو الغادر بقنصه بطلقة لتصيب قلبه فينطق الشهادة على يد أخيه المجاهد الذي كان برفقته ويرتحل بعدها شهيدا ليكون مثلا يحتذى به وعنوانا للشاب الملتزم الطائع البار.

He was constantly keen to share his brothers in Rabat on the gaps in the city of Beit Hanoun, where his family was expecting him to leave the house to get his brothers and his place in peace and well.
He was distinguished by secrecy and secrecy at work, and what distinguished him most during his bond always reminded his brothers of the need to remember God too much, and also trying to relieve his brothers by joking and laughing with them. Before he could target any IDF troops, an IDF sniper killed him, “shooting him with a bullet to the heart“.

Harbied’s red and black jersey in the al-Qassam Brigades video is the same jersey he is wearing in the original Humanize Palestine photograph, two very different narratives.

The original Humanize Palestine website routinely created false narratives with photographs, the photographs of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’ on their website concealed their terror organization affiliation. Yahya Abu Harbied was an example of this.

The photograph of Abu Harbied on the left is how Abu Harbied is portrayed on the original Humanize Palestine website, his terror organization affiliation concealed, killed on July 24, 2014, in an Israeli tank attack that targeted a group of people in the Domar Street.

The three photographs to the right of the original Humanize Palestine photograph is who Abu Harbied truthfully was, a terror operative combatant. This is the Abu Harbied who appears on the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website, the Harbied who climbed over a house on Hamad Street with his rifle…searches for enemy soldiers, killed by an IDF sniper, shooting him with a bullet to the heart.

Prior to August 2020, the Hamas and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades websites had a green banner at the top of their home page. This is how the home page of Hamas’ TV station, al-Aqsa TV, appeared on March 16, 2020:

The green banner contained an embedded URL that linked to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades website. Clicking on the green banner would open this webpage:

This was a fund raising scheme utilizing cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to underwrite its terrorism (“resistance”). Note that the solicitation is in English. This would indicate that the fund raising scheme not only targeted Arabic speaking countries but English speaking western countries as well, such as the U.S.

In August 2020, the U.S. government seized the website, funds and assets:

The original Humanize Palestine website memorialized Hamas and al-Qassam Brigades terror operatives, Yahya Abu Harbied was one example. In their own words, they honored the deceased terror operatives as martyrs by bringing them back to life through their pictures, stories, art, and poetry.

Now the victims of these terror operatives have been honored. The U.S. Department of Justice has seized al-Qassam Brigades assets, funds and websites, used to finance their terror campaigns. The monies will be directed to the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.
